Dear Dairy

Dear Dairy
Life in the trenches

In the trenches cold and wet.

I fire my gun trying my best.

I feel terrified as the guns fire up above our heads.

We fight in any weather thunder, hail, rain and sun no matter what nothing can stop us!

On rainy days the trenches will flood and collect the blood the drips from the top to the ground.

In the trenches we sleep without a noise, mice and rats come to join.

Everyday we do not shower, not even if we stink, we have to live with it in the trenches its called life.

The trenches are pitch black at night,we do not have no light.

We have to deal with the noise of the guns firing, but not at night.

I have not forgotten about the smell it smelt horrible in the trenches as i said its called life!

We hope we live to finish our life.

  1. Excellent funny work shakanna. It sounded funny how you said it stinked. Good luck with your other comments Shakanna.

Wow! Shakanna this is very descriptive and it is really funny! I like the way you have laid it out. Are you thinking about home at all?

I enjoyed reading your dear diary, it gave me a good description of what it would have been like at war. We created trenches in our classroom and had to do our work in these along with the sounds of bombs going off! What did you do to get a greater understanding?
